Woodcraft leather bench strops remain the traditional honing system for carvers and whittlers because theyre so easy to use. Prime the leather with the appropriate compound and hone your tool with a lapping "barbers" stroke. Prime leather stropping surfaces measure 2" x 8", are milled flat, textured to hold the lapping compound and are bonded right up to the edge of a hard maple base. see details
